23: somhow the men gather the keys to draculas other houses and carry on their voyage to fill the boxes but in picadilly 1 is missing out of the nine and they fear tht dracula has it, or is coming to protect the other 8, and so as they thought he did and even with an attempt to ambush him, it was no use, he got away. using mina they find out that dracula has fled from england which gets them all worked up and worrind about mina.

13-16
chapter 13: written through dr sewards diary he talks about lucy's burial and how vann helsing put garlic around her and a crucifix in her mouth before the burial. he also tells him that after they need to cut of lucy's head and take out her heart which to seward is very very very disgusting. however the crucifix needs to stay there over night to do so, and this is exactly what does not happen. the following day they find that the crucifix in her mouth is not there, it seems to have been stolen. they postpone the cutting of her head. Mina and john state to have seen dracula disguised as a tall man with a mustache. being so convinced that it is dracula, john somehow manages to lose all his memories by falling asleep. he somehow manages to just block all that away in his mind..due to this mina decides to take a look at his diary worrying about his health. it was an emergency. a while later mina reads of lucy's death and below that the story of the bloofer lady who lure children in and when they come out they come out with the same marks on their necks as lucy's. a little bit weird rightt...
chapter 14: Van helsing pays a visit to mina, they discuss lucy's death and how it couldve happened by which mina is delighted with. she give him johns dairy to read for himself as she is horrified with what is written in theere. they discuss things over breakfast where john happens to regain his memory of his time in translvania. he decides to write a new dairy starting from that day onwards. with the mishap of the bloofer lady van helsing is a little suspicious, he visits dr seward and points out the fact that the children are coming out with marks on their neck similar to lucy's. Van helsing thinks that the bloofer lady IS lucy.......
chapter 15: as van helsing concludes that it is lucy who is the bloofer layd dr seward does not believe him....or even more so does not want to believe him. even afer visiting a child victim who had the same marks on his neck as lucy's dr seward still did not want to believe him. so to prove himself they go to the tomb to open her grave...and no lucy....she was not there...dr seward debates that she couldve been robbed or something...they keep lookout....the next time they opened her coffin she was there again. finally dr seward had no choice but to believe van helsing. they decide to end her with the help of the other 2.
chapter 16: when they finish lucy?? they go their with plans to kill her immediately but what a suprise..she is nt in her coffin. they plan to ambush her, so they hide and wait. she enterss with another victim and notices holmwood. she calls out for him lovingly and as for holmwood, seeing his fiancee again moves towards her. van helsing being the hero steps in and tries to attack her....but she manages to escape. seeing her like this, holmwood could not handle it, later on he comes back with a stake and a hammer and finishes her off with a stab at her heart. together they decide to meet up again to finish of everything, to cut her head of and take her heart out.....
9-12
chapter 9 is ok, its not the most interesting of chapters that i have read so far. here we find that john is ok now but cannot remember what happened that left him in tht state. all he knows is tht what ever it was tht caused it was all in his dairy which he still had a hold of. they get married sealing it off with promising eachother to never open the diary unless in emergencies. arthur worried about lucy arranges dr seward to examine her but this illness so happens to be out of what he is capable of, so calls someone who is better......his teacher professor Van Helsing who examines her and leavesss shortly after. Renfield on the other hand says that he is sick of doing all the things he does over and over again. he doesnt want to catch flies and so onn..then why doesnt he just leave and change?? few days later, lucy health begins to worsen again.
chapter 10: during this chapter a blood transfusion is performed twice by dr seward, even donating his own blood once. after the first attack van helsing orders dr seward to stay up with her so that no one gets to her but dr seward being tired and sleepy falls asleep unknowingly waking up to find lucy pale and weak in front of him. after this second incident van helsing orders a large box of garlic which he orders lucy to wear around her neck. he places garlic all around the house for further protection. he feels confident and assure dr seward that lucy will now be able to sleep without being attacked.
chapter 11: throughout this chapter lucy is in danger. again through some misunderstanding lucy is found in a near death state. mrs westenra, lucy's mother had removed the garlic from her room leaving her open to the attack. another blood transfusion is needed, so van helsings blood saves her from dying. few days later, september 17 a wolf manages to get into lucy's room, and with lucy was her mother who was accompaniying her because they were both scared. as the glass shattered and the wolf howled mrs westenra has a heartattack causing her death. the wolf leaves just as the maids of the house enter the room. they are horrified at the sight of dead mistress and dont know what to do. they go away to have a drink to calm down only to pass out as someone had spiked their drinks before leaving lucy all alone in the house.
chapter 12: the day after the madness that went down in chapter 11 van helsing and dr seward arrive at the house and are horrified with what they are seeing. the maids all passed out, mr westenra dead and lucy again nearly dead. this time however quincy morris is there to donate blood for a blood transfusion as neither of the other two had any left to give. Again mina writes to lucy that she and john have gotton married and are in england now, but lucy was dying. as she id dying van helsing tries to put garlic around her but she shoves him out the way, she doesnt seem to want to live any longer. with a seductive voive trying to seduce holmwood she asks for him to kiss her with which van helsing dissaproves. he tells him to kiss her only on the forehead and so he does as she dies in front of them.
thats pretty much what happens during the 4 chapters :)

chapters 5-8
chapter 5...nothing much really happens in this chapter...it just tells us that Mina and her friend Lucy have been sending each other letters writing stories of their love lives and so on. Mina is an assistant schoolmistress and im nt sure about lucy though. however it does tell us that lucy has been proposed by many men but only accpeted one whcih she calls her true love...and that is Arthur Holmwood. mina has told others that harker is on his way home..but little does she know what is really happening there.
chapter 6: in this chapter we find out about mina and lucy's visit to the east coast of england and their interaction with mr swales. again renfield is mentioned in this chapter, the first mention of him was in chapter 5 but know he is introduced and described about more clearly by john seward. he is described as a pretty weird thing, a 'zoophagous' to be accurate whcih i found out just simply means 'feeding of animals-carnivore' so basically most human beings right??
chapter 7: this chapter is mostly filled with the matters of the ship and how every day a crew member is found missing. but it does also mention the death of mr swales and how mina thinks it may link with lucy sleepwalking more and more. i think that is pretty much it for chapter 7 that i can remember...
chapter 8: throughout this chapter lucy has become a victim??? she is not alone when mina first sees her but when she gets closer the mysterious person dissappears. she finds to pin wounds on her neck which she herselfr thinks is her own faault. to stop lucy from sleepwalking anywhere mina cleverly locks her room so she doesnt disappear which works. even if it stops her from going anywhere and getting into trouble, trouble seems to now come for her. as her state becomes more and more severe. she is becoming more pale and her wounds keep getting bigger. AND ALSOOOO......after the long disappearance of john he is finally mentioned again in this chapter. he is supposedly in a hungarian hospital suffering from brain damage. Mina so leaves for her husband.
wonder what happened to John after he tried to escape from a failed attack..??
:)
john is finally there and is wondering what sort of adventure lies for him. from the first encounter you can easily tell that something wasn't right but for harker, he pushes all those away and thinks of the positives, even after seeing no reflection in the mirror he continues to stay and explore the place.
chapter 3: during his stay the count manifests harker with questions regarding english life and english law. he seems very fascinated with what goes on there and how different it is from where he is at. during this chapter the count also..sort..not force...but pressurizes him to send a letter to his fiance and employer to say that he would stay for an extra month to which he follows. even though the count warns harker to never fall asleep anywhere but his own room he manages to end up falling asleep in a room which he managed to get open and there is where he encounters three strange beautiful women in front of him. at first he is unsure whether it is a dream or not but soon his desires begin to rise (he's forgot on about his fiancee...haha) but as soon as it starts to get intense the count drops by and stops the women from doing anything. harker faints.
chapter 4: after waking up from the earlier night harker is still not fully sure of whether it was a dream or for real. in this chp harker is again told to write a letter to his fiancee and employee but this time he has asked him for three which date to the future, a month ahead. they are dated 12, 19, and 29 june. feeling too unsafe harker even tries to kill the count in this chapter which as expected fails as we all know that vampires can only be killed by being stapped in the heart with a wooden stake in the heart. :D he ends his entry with 'Goodbye All! MINA!' and tries to escape with stealing some of his gold.
desperate times calls for desperate measures..haha
